Naturalia (natural things) and Artificialia (artificial things) refer to the categories used in Renaissance cabinets of curiosity and early museum collections to classify objects. Naturalia are items from the natural world, such as fossils, shells, or unusual stones, while Artificialia are man-made objects or natural items modified by humans.
